Fakeeh International provides medical training through our Life Support Training Centre.
The Life Support Training Centre is under the auspices of Academic and Training Affairs at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital –Jeddah and was established in 2004. It provides life support courses ranging from
- Basic (like Basic Life Support (BLS) to
- Advanced (like ACLS –Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS),
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and
- PALS Pediatric Life Support for health care providers.
The scope of services also expands to the community and hence provides Heart Saver and First Aid programs for lay rescuers. Educating the public ensures a quick, effective response to a life threatening emergency as well as awareness of “Heart Smart” and/or healthy prudent life style to improve their overall quality of life.
The courses are based on interactive methodology focusing on knowledge acquisition, skill demonstration, skill integration, simulation and debriefing. The core emphasis is on the importance of knowledge, technical skills, teamwork and communication skills that enable participants to continue development to improve the patient outcome.
The course curriculum reflects the new science from the 2010 International Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care endorsed by the Saudi Heart Association.
